I've had Smoking section BBQ twice. Once at a summer BBQ and once for a birthday party. Both events were awesome! The ribs had a nice crispy exterior and a juicy middle and didn't need any sauce added. You could tell the brisket was cooked for a long time by the smokey taste. We brought some fresh seafood for the grill and the cook was happy to grill it for us. He got it right and didn't overcook the scallops or fish - they were perfect! After the second time I asked for a business card and now I'm going to hire them for a bachelor party I'm planning - can't wait!
Eric was hired to cook for a 4th of July party this year, and we couldn't have been happier. Unfortunately he had already been booked to smoke a whole hog for another party, but Eric came through by preparing our food overnight and giving us directions for finishing on the grill.
He prepared us a combination of beans, cole slaw, sausage, baby back ribs and pulled pork. We cut the ribs apart with a plastic knife. The ribs were great, super tender with a great crusty exterior or 'bark' and super smokey flavor. Loved the pulled pork. Just super flavorful, didn't even need sauce. We served them with on rolls with the slaw and pepper jack cheese, a huge hit.
Eric is super knowledgable and passionate about his BBQ. I recommend him for any event, you won't be disappointed by the food or the service.

"I went to other parties catered by smoking section last summer, since many of my guests were so impressed and I gotta say this guy is good. Chinese style smoked ribs, smoked mac and cheese, caprese salad, smoked almonds, and oh yes, I even got to try that bacon wrapped smoked turkey. It was like heaven on Earth. By the way, the 50 or so people at my party did a great job of making sure there was nothing to spare, and I actually got to enjoy myself."
